He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Jennings and Dorothy Schumm (Brown); his close friend Shirley Henderson; his son David Schumm; his son-in-law George Folkner; and his sister Margie Schumm.
He is survived by: his children, Tamara Folkner of Fort Wayne and Joseph; his daughter-in-law Diane Schumm of Fort Wayne; and his brother John Schumm of Kent, Ohio.. He is also survived by four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
