He was predeceased by: his parents, Emmie Benefiel (Raymon) and Howard "Buddy" Whitehead (Ozeller); and his siblings, Emily, Billy, Charles and Shirley.
He is survived by: his wife Deena Kinzie; his children, Courtney of West Lafayette and Cameron of Bringhurst; and his sister Janice of Lafayette. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
