He was predeceased by: his parents, Carlisle "Porky" Detwiler and Lillian Detwiler (Sahlhoff) of New Paris, Indiana.; and his brother Edward "Ed" Detwiler of Elkhart. He is survived by: his wife Debra Lee Watchorn of Bristol; his siblings, Bonnie Nicolai of Milford, Mary Butcher of Elkhart, Ken Detwiler of Cass Lake, MN, Pat Carpenter of Goshen and Cindy Bontrager of Elkhart; his children, Destin Detwiler (Jennifer Detwiler) of Howe, Daniel Detwiler of New Albany, IN, Darin Detwiler (Edelyn Detwiler) of Bristol and Dianna Detwiler of Goshen; his grandchildren, Seth, Maddie, Mariah, Tim, Bethany, Stephen, Tatum, Sydney, Santiago, Kamen, Elijah, Tylar and Tristan; and his great grandchildren, Liam, Elliana, Ava, Henry and Cooper.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, July 27th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Eden Worship Center (4095 S 900 W, Topeka, IN 46571). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 30th 2025 at 5:00 PM.
