We announce the death of Gary Shafer (Bristol, Indiana), who passed away on July 9, 2026, at the age of 66. He was predeceased by: his parents, Art Shafer and Marilyn Shafer; and his in-laws, Russell (Buck) and Lois Hetrick. He is survived by: his pet Harley; his wife Joan Shafer; his children, Nikki Behne (Adam), Jimmy Maggert (Kimberly), Jeremy Maggert (Emily) and Sarah Gangwer (Anthony); his grandchildren, Evan, Lukas, Camren, Paxtin, Lyndon, Tanner, Bella, Luxley and Landry; and his siblings, Sandra Wallin (Tim), Dave Shafer (Linda) and Karen Beck.
