James Jacka Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Jacka of Bristol, Indiana, born in Laurium, Michigan, who passed away on July 25, 2025 at the age of 83. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of James Jacka to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Theodore M. Jacka and Virginia Faucett Jacka; his stepfather Harris A. Neil; and his stepbrothers, Michael, Harris and Robert Neil.
He is survived by: his wife Margaret; his son Theodore; his stepdaughter Deanna Waterloo of Punta Gorda; his grandsons, Joshua (McKenzie), Nicholas (Lindsay) of Omaha, Nathaniel of Dallas, Justin Waterloo (Eric Waterloo) and Jim; his great grandchildren, Olivia and John; his brothers, William M. Jacka (Virginia) of Vestavia Hills and Paul R. Jacka (Ann Rita) of Alabaster, Alabama.; and his stepsister Mary Haas (Tom) of Haslet Michigan. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Thursday, July 31st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A masonic service will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home (1531 Cobblestone Blvd, Elkhart, IN 46514). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Saint James Episcopal Church (106 S 6th St, Goshen, IN 46528). A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Lakeview Cemetery.
