He was predeceased by: his mother Mary Ellen (Hubbard); his daughter Misschell Kimes; his grandson Oliver Yeager; his father Ralph Melvin Kimes; and his grandparents, Merl, Mary Catherine Kimes (Silveus) of Elkhart, Indiana, Joseph and Catherine Hubbard (Gilbert) of Bristol, Indiana..
He is survived by: his wife Cindy Schell; his daughters, Jennifer Yeager (Andy) and Julie Gibbs (Rob); and his grandchildren, Tiffany (Kyle), Corey, Andrea, Zack, Amber, Brad, Emily and Ean. He is also survived by two great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, July 11th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Calendar Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home (1531 Cobblestone Blvd, Elkhart, IN 46514). A burial was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 from 11:45 AM to 12:45 PM.
