She was predeceased by: her parents, Silas Shell and Fannie Shell (Estridge); her husband David P. Slagle; her daughter Barbara G. Samford; her grandchildren, Gayle Samford, Robyn Samford and Jedidiah Samford; and her siblings, Betty Tirey, Pearl Clause, Chester Shell, Mildred Platt and Mattie Sampson.
She is survived by: her children, Linda Knapp (Kevin) of Harrison, Bruce Slagle (Lynn) of Newark and Steven Slagle (Mary) of Indianapolis, Indiana; her son-in-law Sam Samford (Carolyn) of Brookville, Indiana; and her brothers, Ron Shell of Albany, Nelson Shell of Broadhead and Ed Shell of Brookville, Indiana.
