He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Knight and Esther Knight (Butler); his sister Leona Hires; his son-in-law Michael Johnson; his brother Edward; and his sister-in-law Jane Hollenbach.
He is survived by: his spouse Lynn Hill; his children, Melody Johnson (late Mike) of Brookville, Eric Knight (Susan) of Cedar Grove, Indiana and Holly Knight Hodges of Brookville; his stepchildren, Joy Hill (Tim VanMeter) of Brookville, Indiana and Dusty Hill (Amy) of Brookville, Indiana; his grandchildren, Christy Cunningham (Matt), Jason Nobbe, Garret Wade Knight, Ella Leigh Knight and Graham Montgomery Hodges; his stepgrandchildren, Andrew Peters, Austin Hill and Ashlin Suding; and his brother-in-law Richard'Dick'Hollenbach of Brookville. He is also survived by two great-grandchildren and one step-great-grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home (1025 Franklin Ave, Brookville, IN 47012). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 at the Maple Grove Cemetery (8126 Maple Grove Rd, Brookville, IN 47012).
