He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Roy and Ruth Adeline Hinds (Kelley); his former wife Carol Hinds; his son Shawn M. Hinds; his sisters, Cora Lee Maxel and Clarissa Lavonne Thompson; and his grandson Archie Sherrill.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Smith; his children, Kenneth Hinds (Sharon), Troy Hinds, Tommy Sherrill (Angela), Tina Godsey, Lisa Baker (Bill) and Becca Shaffer (Corey); and his grandchildren, Jessica Baker (William) and Ashley Hinds of Shawn Hinds, T. J. He is also survived by grandchildren; several great grandchildren; as well as nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the Bernard Hurst Post #77 of the American Legion Firing Squad or the Brookville Food Pantry.
