We are sad to announce that on July 26, 2025, at the age of 86, Richard John Moorman (Brookville, Indiana) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Moorman and Kathryn Moorman (Fritz). He is survived by: his significant other Romilda Dolores Merkel (Millie); his children, Angela Bowman (Tim) of Indianapolis, IN, Regina Salas (Brady Mick) of Indianapolis, IN, Jay Moorman (Lisa) of Superior, CO and Andre'Moorman of Cedar Rapids, IA.; his grandchildren, Allison Weaver (Brandon), Brittany Bowman, Joshua Bowman, Jacob Bowman, Zoey Bowman, Noah Salas, Cecilia Salas, Sofia Salas, Isaac Moorman, Rebecca Moorman and Ruthie Moorman; his great grandchildren, Arie Weaver, Grayson Weaver and Cleopatra Johnson; and his sisters, Mary Lou Bernhard, Sue Hix, Rosalie Moorman, Judy Nobbe (Gary) and Bette Woolf (Bob).
A rosary will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 at 3:30 PM at the Weigel Funeral Home (151 W George St, Batesville, IN 47006). Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Peter's Catholic Church (1207 E Rd, Brookville, IN 47012).
