He is survived by: his friends, John and Karen Melko; his wife Lyla Payne; his children, Matthew Payne (Michelle), Laura Asher (late Ron), Wess Payne (Kelly) and Rose Garrod (late Mark); his grandchildren, Alex, Ben, Jaclyn, Emily, Pierce, James, Kristina, Thomas, Wade, Tad, Beth, Brooke and Blake; his great grandchildren, Mathew Jr., Jackson, Mallory, Wesley, Charlotte, Karlie, Chuck, Eiley, Jamie, Olivia, Aiden, Jaycob, Benjamin, Anna, Elliott, Jayce, Levi and Waylon; and his siblings, Mary Bulach, Martha Bulach, Edith Schneider, Christine Herald, Bill Payne, Dennis Payne, Joe Payne and Terry Hetterich. He is also survived by other loving relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Charles C. Young Funeral Home (4032 Hamilton Cleves Rd, Ross, OH 45014). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Saints Philomena and Cecilia Catholic Church (16194 St Marys Rd, Brookville, IN 47012).
