He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard A. Watkins and Ada Watkins (James); his son William Watkins Jr.; and his siblings, Delma Candido, Zena VanHook, Gene Watkins and Leland Watkins.
He is survived by: his sons, James Watkins (Patty) of Brookville and Terry Watkins (Misty) of Brookville; and his siblings, Lena Price of Trenton, Dean Conley of Somerset, Kentucky, Cecil Watkins of Finneytown and Ronnie Watkins of Lexington, Kentucky. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 7th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home (1025 Franklin Ave, Brookville, IN 47012). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 7th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Funeral Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home (1025 Franklin Ave, Brookville, IN 47012).
