He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Bobel and Shirley Bobel; and his brother Ken Bobel. He is survived by: his wife Karen Bobel; his daughters, Kathryn Bobel (Ryan Mills) of Indianapolis and Emily Bobel (Jacob Jackson) of Avon; and his brothers, Dennis Bobel (Mari-Ellen) of Plymouth and Jim Bobel of Lorain. He is also survived by many extended family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the IU Simon Comprehensive Cancer Center, payable to IU Foundation/Esophageal Cancer Research.
