She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Hoffman and Rachelle Hoffman (Wright); her brother Allan; and her sister-in-law Marie Hoffman. She is survived by: her nephew Steve Hoffman (Liz); her great-nieces and great-nephews, Van, Charlie and Frankie; her cousins, Jeni Thien, Julie Hoffmann and Jane Hoffmann; and her friends, Sally, Terry Bonneau and Joyce Elsbury.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Matthews Mortuary (690 E 56th St, Brownsburg, IN 46112). A celebration of life was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Melanie's memory may be made to the Scratching Post, a cause close to her heart, located at 6948 Plainfield Road, Cincinnati, Ohio.
