She was predeceased by: her parents, Evan Hughes and Marie Hughes (Swisher); her husband Robert Lakin; her children, David Lakin and Debora Graham; and her granddaughter April Gibson.
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Conley Long (Patty), Anne Tordai (Ferdinand), Jill Lakin and Andrew Graham; and her sister Donna Groenert. She is also survived by 9 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Matthews Mortuary (690 E 56th St, Brownsburg, IN 46112). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
