She was predeceased by: her husband Russell Atkinson of Shoals; and her father James Marshall. She is survived by: her mother Laura Marshall; and her children, Michael Atkinson (Kelly), Mark Atkinson (Corinne), Chris Atkinson (Ember) and Caryn Atkinson. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
