She was predeceased by: her husband Richard Slocum; her parents, James Thomas Witcher and Vernie Leah Witcher (Walker); her siblings, Wilburn, Helen (Gardner), Thelma Jean (Cleghorn) and Wanda (Bennett); and her children, Vicki Diane Jaques and Fredrick "Fred" Garnett.

She is survived by: her brother James "Jimmy" Witcher; her son Gregory Wayne Garnett (Henretta); her grandchildren, Randy Garnett, Rodney Garnett, Ramey Garnett and Shannon Gerndt; and her great grandchildren, Joshua Jaques, Devin Rose, Jordin Garnett, Stormm Garnett, Justin Garnett, Ashton Garnett, Cais Garnett, Tru Gerndt and Attica Garnett.
