With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Carol Jane (Helwig) Browning (Brownstown, Indiana), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 26, 2025 at the age of 89. She was predeceased by: her parents, Oscar "Butch" Helwig and Goldie Helwig (Killian) of Cortland; her husband Floyd Browning (Borchers); her brother William Helwig; and her siblings-in-law, Wilma Frische, James Browning, John Frische and Don Gardner.
She is survived by: her children, Kenny Browning (Teresa) and Kathy Kleffman (Benny); her grandchildren, Jeremy Kleffman (Heidi), Toby Kleffman (Joy), Amy Kleffman, Katie Wahlstrom (Greg), Pete Browning (Jennifer) and Samantha Plumlee (Tyler); her great grandchildren, Gus Kleffman, Cole Kleffman (Harleigh), Gabe Kleffman, Stella Kleffman, Annie Kleffman, Lilly Wahlstrom, Levi Wahlstrom, Savannah Browning, Daxton Browning, Roman Browning and Trey Plumlee; and her sisters-in-law, Jane Gardner and Elizabeth Helwig.
Memorials may be given to St. Paul Lutheran Church, Borchers, Don and Dana Myers Cancer Center, or Donor's choice.
