He is survived by: his grandchildren, Jacob Shepard (Caitlin), Daniel Shepard (Alisha), David Shepard (Nicole), Elizabeth Shepard and Trevor Ballard; his great grandchildren, Everett, Kai, Reed, Luka and Jack; his brother-in-law Steve Hauer (Peggy); and his daughter-in-law Maria Shepard Engle (Don).
Memorial contributions may be given to the Gina Shepard Ballard Scholarship Fund.
