He was predeceased by: his parents, Cyrus McCory and Dorothy McCory (Reynolds); his daughter Renee Blaker; his brother James McCory; his brother-in-law John Yeary; and his parents-in-law, Dick and Linda Maxwell.
He is survived by: his wife Jill Scarbrough; his daughters, Jamie Knichel (Jack) of Brownstown and Judy Doyle (James) of Brownstown; his stepdaughter Linda Posey (Matt) of Seymour; his grandchildren, Tyler Blaker (Katherine), Rusty Blaker (Rosa), Lakyn Knichel, Breanna Knichel (Travis), Kyle Lauster (Kalynn), April Blaker, Jesse Blaker, Jared Doyle (Dystany), James Doyle, Alaina Lee, Sydney Dalzell (Kyren), Jay White, Tristan White (Annie), Annabelle Posey and Isabella Doyle; his great grandchildren, Aubree Knichel, Doyle, Dalila Doyle, Hudson Black, Jakobe Lauster, Archer Zollinger, Sadi Zollinger, Mady Blaker, Ivory White and Zyden Dalzell; his siblings, Kenny McCory of Brownstown and Pat Yeary of Brownstown; and his nieces and nephews, Jessica McCory, Shelia Love, Tammy Endris, Chris McCory, Michael McCory, Daniel McCory and Jason McCory.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Spurgeon Funeral Home (206 E Commerce St, Brownstown, IN 47220). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 at 6:00 PM at the Spurgeon Funeral Home, Inc. (206 E Commerce St, Brownstown, IN 47220).
