It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Michelle Renee Elkins of Brownstown, Indiana, who passed away on September 7, 2025, at the age of 49, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her nephew Nathaniel Phillips Jr.; and her granddaughter Riverlyn Napier. She is survived by: her parents, Floyd Elkins and Clara Elkins (Allman); her boyfriend Brandon Zumhingst; her children, Charity Patton (Kaleb), Jonathan Napier (Kaitlyn), Herman Napier (Krislynn) and Tyler Cowles; her siblings, Bill Elkins (Kristi), Marsha Collman (Eddie) and Kim Elkins; her grandchildren, Charlie John Napier, Riley Napier, Lilly Napier, Herman Napier, Leighton Napier, Alayna Patton and Chandler Patton; Cash Zumhingst. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Michelle's honor may be made to Love Lucas, Piper's Purpose, or to Michelle's family to assist with family expenses.
