He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard Nelson and Ellen Nelson (Waldren); and his children, William "Billie" Nelson and Ginger Deaton. He is survived by: his daughter Ellen Herzner of Seymour; his son-in-law James Deaton of Brownstown; and his grandchildren, Kevin Nelson, Karen Nelson, Jennifer Herzner Lin (Kwan), Nikki Herzner, Ruth Schulz, Michelle Purdue (Billy) and Erica Lorenz (Bryan). He is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren; and several brothers and sisters.
