He was predeceased by: his parents, Ethel Bollinger and Cletus Bollinger; and his siblings, James, David and Clara Miles (Sue).

He is survived by: his daughters, Donna Proxmire and Kim Gast; his sister Cindy Wallace; and his close friend Vickie Kirk. He is also survived by five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
