He was predeceased by: his parents, James E. Mitchell and E. Marlene Mitchell (Buck); and his brothers, Jack "Fat Jack" Mitchell and Joe "Porkchop" Mitchell. He is survived by: his wife Karen King; his sisters, Jean Randle (Jon) of Delphi and Judy Kettnich (Mark) of Battle Ground; his son Torry Allen; and his cousins, Josh, Patty and Kristen Buck. He is also survived by several other nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Memorial contributions in Jay's name may be given to Buck Creek United Methodist Church or to the Buck Creek Volunteer Fire Department.
