He was predeceased by: his father Leon Tyring; and his brother Tim Tyring. He is survived by: his wife Joni Tyring of Arlington; his stepdaughters, Susan Davis (Davis) and Jennifer Cox (Lyle); his grandchildren, Owen and Melanie; his former wife Maureen Farrell; his daughter Erin Lloyd (Justin); his granddaughters, Jasmine and Maya; his daughter Ariel Dropcho (Ted); his mother Margaret "Mickie" Tyring (Besing); and his siblings, Scott Tyring (Michele), Steve Dealph and Jennifer Schisler (Donnie). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Contributions in memory of David Leon Tyring may be made to Hear Indiana, an organization that supports deaf children and their families, like his grandson Owen Cox.
