She was predeceased by: her parents, Eugene Barnard and Beaulah Barnard (Buntin); her children, Kevin Avery and Melanie Avery; her great grandchild Parker Bowlus; her sister Dorothy Spraker; and her sisters-in-law, Karen Barnard and Debi Barnard.
She is survived by: her husband Thomas James Avery; her daughter Melinda Wilson (Rodney); her granddaughters, Shelby Seager (Nick) and Jenna Bowlus (Brandon); her great grandchildren, Mallory Seager, Wes Seager and Grayson Bowlus; her brothers, William "Bill" Barnard, Charlie Barnard (Sharon), Jim Barnard and Dan Barnard (Linda); and her brother-in-law Ed Spraker. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Stout & Son-Burlington Chapel (44 S Michigan St, Burlington, IN 46915). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Stout & Son Funeral Home – Neptune Chapel (44 S Michigan St, Burlington, IN 46915).
