Gary Brookshire Obituary

He was predeceased by: his parents, William Brookshire and Eunice Brookshire (Todd); his half-sister Billie Hussman; his siblings, Jerry, Larry Brookshire and Judy Brookshire-Matthews; and his great grandchild Lileigh Joy Messer.

He is survived by: his wife Lynn; his daughter Shannon Schmidt (Dawson); his stepchildren, Darren Byrd and Lisa Gibson; and his grandchildren, Brittany Huff, Tyler Huff (Samantha), Dylan Huff (Jacklyn), Ashley Hood, Amanda Byrd, Ryan Byrd, Jacob Byrd, Jerry Moore, Christopher Gibson, Bethany Gibson and Joshua Gibson. He is also survived by ten great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Waskom Capitol Hill Chapel in Cambridge City (1010 E Main St, Cambridge City, IN 47327). A funeral service was held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 3:00 PM at the Waskom Capitol Hill Chapel (1010 E Main St, Cambridge City, IN 47327).
