He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Carter and Lura Carter. He is survived by: his wife Joyce; his daughters, Rhonda Thompson (Keith) and Lisa Minnis (Chad); his grandchildren, Lindsey Geiselhart (David), Scott Thompson (Kathryn), Zachary Minnis (Hannah) and Taylor Minnis; and his siblings, Sammie Daniels and Ronnie Carter. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
