He is survived by: his daughters, Beth Canen (Tim) of Camden and Beverly Bowen of Marion; his grandchildren, Cody Canen (Michelle) of Lafayette, Ali Canen of Camden, Chad Canen (Kiley Haygood) of Camden and Jarrett Bowen (Rylee Ellett) of Arizona; his great grandchildren, Owen and Josie Canen of Lafayette; his sisters, Marilyn Layman of Georgia and Janis Hanaway (George) of Camden; and his pet Gus.

Those wishing to make memorial contributions are asked to bring coats to his Celebration of Life to benefit local children in need.
