With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Elmer Doyle Green of Campbellsburg, Indiana, who passed away on October 13, 2025 at the age of 71. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Newton and Florence Roberta Green (Reynolds); and his in-law David Hypes. He is survived by: his wife Juanita Kay Green of Campbellsburg; his children, David Newton Green (Iris Johnson) of Paoli, Anthony Doyle Green of Campbellsburg and Marsha Lynn Green Smith (Anthony Lee) of Indianapolis; his grandchildren, Tyler Austin Green, Brayden Levi Haworth, Hailey Michelle Green, Amanda Nicole Green, Brittany Cheyenne Thomas, Zachary Dwain Thomas and Shelby Lynn Thomas; his great grandchildren, Sierra Abiana Harrison, Naomi Amara Thomas, Isaiah Jabari Harrison, Austin Levi Green, Kingsley Green, Ryder Green and Braylen Green; his sisters, Sharon Louise Green Pruett of Campbellsburg, Bonnie Green Daggy of Paoli and Brenda Green Hypes of Campbellsburg; his grandson Jonathan Michael Green; his brother Ronald Newton Green; and his in-laws, Joan Leslie Green, Clifford Laverne Pruett and William Daggy. He is also survived by several nieces, nephew, great-nieces and nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Chastain Funeral Home (705 W Warren St, Mitchell, IN 47446). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center (705 W Warren St, Mitchell, IN 47446). A burial will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 at the Saltillo Cemetery.
