He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil Wayne Michael, Sr. and Lois Michael (Russell); and his nephew Landon Michael. He is survived by: his wife Chalice Michael (Slade); his stepdaughter Summer Thompson; his stepgrandson Hunter Day; his siblings, Lora Lawson and Mark Michael (Michelle); and his aunt Judy Stanley. He is also survived by 6 nieces and nephews; several great nieces, and great nephews.
