We are sad to announce that, on January 12, 2026, at the age of 68, Jim Story (Cannelton, Indiana), born in Albany, Kentucky passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Jim may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Willie E. Story and Vera Christina Story (Cowan); his wife Polly Story; his son Jimmy Story II (Cassie Leinenbach); and his stepgrandchildren, Maddie and Riley Leinenbach.
Memorial contributions may be given to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
