It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carter Gobin Phegley of Carlisle, Indiana, born in Merom, Indiana, who passed away on May 28, 2023, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Harold and Grace F. Phegley; his sister Mary Frances Robertson; and his nephew Michael Robertson. He is survived by: his wife Grace Louise Phegley; his daughters, Julie Scripp (Larry) of Fishers and Carta Judson (Steve) of Merom; his grandchildren, Brock Alan Landis, Chelsey Ann Nutt, Taylor Nichole Scripp and Kiersey Lanae Turner; and his great grandchildren, Boyd Landis, Brooklyn Landis, Harper Nutt, Hudson Nutt, Carter Turner and Cooper Turner.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggest that donations may be made to the Sullivan County 4H Council, 1301 E County Rd 75 N, Sullivan, IN 47882.
