He was predeceased by: his parents, John Claxton and Alice Claxton (Calvin); his wife Patricia Gillette Claxton; and his brother Bruce. He is survived by: his children, Karen Hindman (Kelly), Brian Claxton (Gladys), Brad Claxton (Veronica) and Cynthia Stump (Chris); his grandchildren, Kyle (Mary), Allie (Alfredo), Patricia, Andrea, Matthew, Brad III (Maggie) of Kaila, C. J. and Corinne; his great grandchildren, Terrance and Aaliyah; his siblings-in-law, Marilyn Claxton, Joan Totton and Gene Gillette; and his caregiver Jenny Hughes.
