He is survived by: his wife Rebecca "Becky" Akins (Timberman); his children, Lauren Akins Mlady (Michael Mlady), Owen Akins (Laura Akins) and Noah Akins (Jaelin Vergara); his father Larry Akins; his stepmother Shirley Akins; his mother Rita Akins; and his sister Kristi Akins.
