He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward M. Cox and Saundra S. Schmidt Cox. He is survived by: his wife Angela (Hess); his brothers, Gregory M. Schmidt, Christopher W. Schmidt (Molly), Daniel J. Schmidt (Christine) and Greg Dawson (Laura); his stepbrother Andrew Singer; his stepfather Gary Cox; his father-in-law Dwight Hess (Sandy); his siblings-in-law, Eric Smith, Tonia Deane (Tim) and Lenora Steele (Robert); and his siblings' children, Emma, William, Joseph, Lucille, Elizabeth, Harrison, Christopher, Jessica, April and Gabby.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Flanner Buchanan-Carmel (325 E Carmel Dr, Carmel, IN 46032). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
