In the vast expanse of eternity, Connie shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Connie farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Chester Day and Ruby Day; her sister Judy Ripberger; and her husband Stewart Mattix. She is survived by: her children, Rick Mattix (Margaret), Lori Lencheck (Chuck) and Beth Wells (Scott). She is also survived by ten grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 22nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel (600 W Old Ridge Rd, Hobart, IN 46342). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 22nd 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family invites donations to the Hobart Educational Foundation or to public schools in your community, in honor of Connie's lifelong dedication to education and children.
