He was predeceased by : his father Alex Hobart. He is survived by : his wife Frances; his sons, Derek A. Hobart and Christian P. Hobart; his grandson Daniel A. Hobart; and his siblings, Karen Jankowski (Tom) and Butch Hobart.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Augustine Home Little Sisters of the Poor or the Merciful Help Center at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel.
