He is survived by: his wife Carole Woodruff; his children, Laurie Montgomery Hale (Brad), Cindy Atkins (Lance) and David Woodruff (Carrie); his grandchildren, Taylor Middlesworth (Adam), Michael Montgomery, Abby Crum (Jade), Daniel Montgomery (Mary Ellen), Ashton Hale, Kiley Robinson (Kyle), Cameron Atkins (Nicole), Drew Woodruff, Ashley Woodruff and Luke Woodruff; and his great grandchildren, Theo Middlesworth, Leah and Lilah Robinson.
