He was predeceased by: his parents, Angeline Wanchow and John Wanchow Sr.. He is survived by: his children, Susan Dansdill (James), Shari Calder (Scott), Sandee Critser, JohnAndrew and Salli Brown (Scott); his grandchildren, Timothy, Brittany (Michael), Anna (Patrick), Allison, Jack, Kinsey, Elena, Ross and Brooke; his great grandchildren, Theadora, Emma, Patrick, David and Lilah; and his nephews, Michael Joe Wanchow and John Petrek.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church (14598 Oak Ridge Rd, Carmel, IN 46032). A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memorial of John may be made to Catholic Charities of Indianapolis (https://www.helpcreatehope.org), or the Alzheimer's Association.
