Kitty Schmidt Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Kitty Schmidt of Carmel, Indiana, who passed away on September 29, 2025 at the age of 88. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Kitty Schmidt to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Rhea Cullip and Florence Cullip; her husband Freddie Schmidt; her sister Clara Winkler; her brother-in-law Bill Winkler; her brother Doug Cullip; and her brother-in-law Jack Sullins.
She is survived by: her children, Theresa Weaver (Jon) and Jonathan Schmidt; her granddaughters, Ellen Weaver Shields (Aaron), Sarah Weaver Brewis (Sam) and Sydney Schmidt; her great grandchild Tate Shields; her sisters, June Sullins and Wilmina Alexander (Kenneth); and her sister-in-law Emogene Cullip. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and on Saturday, October 4th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 at 4:00 PM and on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at 11:30 AM. A committal service will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Highland Memory Gardens (1 NE 60th Ave, Des Moines, IA 50317).
