She was predeceased by: her parents, Dr. Jess Edwin Burks and Mildred Jayne Burress Burks; and her brother Joseph Edwin Burks. She is survived by: her husband Joseph K. Luigs; her daughters, Amy K. Luigs and Lisa Luigs Morrissett; her granddaughter Amy Jayne Morrissett; her siblings, Peter Burress Burks and Paula Ann Burks; and her pet Jake.
