He was predeceased by : his parents, Rosemary Grider Steele and Leslie Darrell Steele; and his brothers, Leslie Darrell Steele, Jr., Steven Dale Steele, Malcolm Steele, Clinton Steele and Charles Allen Steele.

He is survived by : his close friend Beverley Diane Allen; his children, Shawn Silva and Tabby; and his brothers, Terry Ray Steele and Howard Lee Steele, Sr.. He is also survived by nieces and nephews; and many other beloved family members and friends.
