He was predeceased by: his wife Eleanor L. Whiteman Herbert; his parents, Mary Herbert and Clyde Herbert Sr.; and his siblings, Mary Margaret Weston (Logan), Betty Jo Handley (Donald), Reta Thorne (Alfred), Clyde Herbert Jr. (Irene) and Robert Herbert (Dorothy).
He is survived by: his sisters-in-law, Dr. Anne Rosche of Sunnyvale California and Marge Aukerman. He is also survived by nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews.
