She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Anselmo and Elizabeth Frank Anselmo of New Castle; her former husband Philip H. Schnell; and her brothers, William and Thomas.

She is survived by: her husband John E. Cole Jr. of Carol Stream; her daughters, Susanne Schnell of Glen Ellyn, Illinois. and Elizabeth Schnell (Leo Lanzillo) of Glen Ellyn, Illinois.; her grandsons, Jeremiah of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Anthony of New York, William of Basalt, Colorado and Joseph (Katie Sylva) of San Francisco, California.; her stepson Tim Cole (Julia) of Richmond, Virginia; her daughter Kairsten Cole DeCaro of Philadelphia; her sister Shirley Shafer; her nieces, Anne Shafer and Sherre Frampton of Youngstown; her nephew David Shafer of Sarasota; and her cousin Lucyndia Marino of New Castle, Pennsylvania..
