It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Kurlander (Carmel, Indiana), born in Indianapolis, Indiana, who passed away on May 16, 2026, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ben Prince and Esther Newbauer Prince; her husband Jerry (Jerry); her sister Marilyn Prince Schankerman; and her brother-in-law Maurice Schankerman (Moe).
She is survived by: her children, Helen Kurlander Goldstein (Asaf), Stuart Sidney Kurlander (David Martin), Eileen Joy Kurlander and Dr. David Mark Kurlander; her grandchildren, Eitan Goldstein (Aliza), Lauren Goldstein, Noah Shaw, Alivia Williamson (Jaedon), Eli Kurlander, Jacob Kurlander and William Kurlander; and her brother Irwin J. Prince (Eileen).
