He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Darling and Helen Darling (Oakes); and his brothers, Richard Darling (Pat) and Norman Darling (Nancy). He is survived by: his wife Beverley Darling (Sowers); his children, Kevin Darling (Carol) and Angi Hoess (Frank); and his stepdaughters, Chris Hatfield (Jason) and Jennifer DuDois. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, one step granddaughter, five great grandsons, and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
