He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Eugene Pickering and Freda Long (Morris); and his sisters, Marilyn Krall and Cindy Gibson. He is survived by: his wife Patricia "Pat" Pickering (Rollo); his daughters, Jennifer Clark (Jay Kinder), Leigh Anne and Ferrell; and his brother Marvin Pickering. He is also survived by many extended family members and dear friends.
A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM at the Hamilton Memorial Park (Prairie Waters Event Center) (4180 Westfield Rd, Westfield, IN 46074).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions in Tom's name be made to the Gary Sinise Foundation (https://www.garysinisefoundation.org), an organization he greatly admired and supported for its work honoring and supporting our defenders, veterans, first responders, their families, and those in need.
