He was predeceased by: his parents, Leslie C. Smith and Grace A. Smith (Arnholt). He is survived by: his wife Judy (Gambill); his son Warren Leslie Smith, Jr. (Lee); his grandchildren, Whitney Anne Vogt, Shelby Brooke Cluff, William Logan Smith and Evan Gambill Vogt; and his sister Marilyn Grace Rawlings Theobald.

A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, October 31st 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Christopher's Episcopal Church (1402 W Main St, Carmel, IN 46032). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 31st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

In recognition for his contributions to community service, he was awarded The Silver Medal Award by the American Advertising Federation.
