She was predeceased by : her husband Melvin G. Miedema; her brother John Seaman (Linda); and her parents, Lauren Seaman and Constance Seaman. She is survived by : her sons, Greg (Sandy) and Gary Miedema (Tami); her grandchildren, Michelina (Aaron), Lindsay, Jack and Nick; and her sister Constance Cunningham (late Paul).

Visitation was held on Monday, May 6th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Smits Funeral Home (2121 Pleasant Springs Ln, Dyer, IN 46311). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, May 7th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
